Advantages
Evekeo tablet is a combination of d-AMP and l-AMP, so it is different
from Dexedrine, Dextrostat, Zenzedi and their generics, but because L-AMP is not as effective as d-AMP and can produce more cardiovascular side effects, it offers no real advantage.
Evekeo ODT is an Orally Dissolving tablet and is much easier to swallow than other medications.
Disadvantages
Evekeo is a short-acting amphetamine that is expensive and does not provide any real advantage over the generics of Dexedrine, Dextrostat or Zenzedi. May have more appetite and cardiovascular side effects.

Evekeo is another brand-name, short-acting amphetamine. It is dif- ferent from Dexedrine, Dextrostat, and Zenzedi because it is the com- bination of dextro-amphetamine and levo-amphetamine. But because levo-amphetamine offers little benefit for the treatment of ADHD, there seems to be little rationale for using Evekeo.
On the other hand, Evekeo is also available as an orally dissolv- ing tablet (ODT) and Evekeo ODT does provide an alternative for children (and adults) who have difficulty swallowing a tablet. An orally dissolving tablet is placed in the mouth, and within minutes it dissolves and is followed by a drink of water, milk, or juice. However, Evekeo ODT is an immediate-release medication, lasting only 3½–4 hours. An extended-release orally dissolving tablet is available as Adzenys XR-ODT, which is a much better alternative. It requires only one dose per day, versus the 2–3 per day that would be needed with the short-acting Evekeo.
